download unetbootin for whatever platform you are on, and make a bootable usb.It is too easy...
Now its time to boot from your bootable pen drive...
a) Insert the usb drive before you power on your computer.
b) enter bios by pressing F1 or Del or F12 or whatever is applicable according to your motherboard.
c) go into advanced section of bios and look for boot order priority.
d) go into hard disk order and see whether your USB drive is being displayed...make it first.
e) press F10 to save and exit.
this time your computer will boot from USB drive (if you earlier booted from your hard drive).press enter when you are shown boot prompt.
note: on some motherboards it might show 'boot failure'. you can try with another USB drive or try your own USB drive on some other computer.
if you are on ubuntu you can use the inbuilt usb startupdisk creator.
benefits :
>this method is vary useful if your dvd drive is out of order.
>installation from USB drive is faster than from a cd or dvd.
>you can use the same bootable USB as a normal storage media too.
>it is easier to carry a usb media around, boot your friend's computer from it...and install it if he wishes, in under 10 minutes!
>no more wasting money and resources on DVDs.
All the best!cheers!
I m getting an error at the usb boot.

can you help me.
i assume, you are getting this error while booting from the bootable usb you have made...plz google and check whether people using the same system as you are also facing the same problem, and any workaround they have figured out.i also did not get consistent results from usb boot.some systems just refuse to boot from the same usb from which other systems have booted and installed very comfortably.
ReplyDeletetry with another USB drive or try your own USB drive on some other computer.see if it works...
I got the reason of error the downloaded iso was corrupted.
